Allinghams is owned by Keith and Chris Broughton.

We are experienced pet owners and, prior to owning Allinghams, ran a highly successful boarding kennels and cattery in Cambridgeshire, which included a foster unit for Cats Protection.

We breed and show Irish Wolfhounds under the Montisacre kennel name.  As well as having success in the show ring our hounds enjoy obedience training, agility and lure coursing. They are, above all, family pets, enjoying cuddles on the sofa. Chris is also Dorset coordinator and an assessor for Pets as Therapy (see petsastherapy.org) and three of our hounds are registered PAT Dogs, making weekly visits to local residential/nursing homes.

Also resident at home in Kington Magna are two rescued cats, a tank of tropical fish and a number of chickens.  While the family were growing up we also enjoyed the company of rabbits, guinea pigs and gerbils.
We will be happy to advise on all aspects of pet care – knowing who to ask if we don’t know ourselves.
